  • Vray Still Camera vs Video/ Movie Camera

I am rendering an animation of an object rotating 360 degrees. I am using a Vray still camera and settings that I have read about on the forum. The materials are just the default gray and it is only 150 frames long. I am getting horrible flickering and I'm wondering if it is because I am using a Vray still camera opposed to a video or movie camera in the VrayCamera dropdown box? Also, when rendering the LightCache, the first frame shows the object but the other 149 frames show up completely black. Any suggestions would help. Here is my process for the LC and IRR map calculations.

Calculate LC: Subdivs: 3500, Scale: Screen, Use camera path: Unticked, Mode: Flythough......Save LC

Calculate IRR (Use saved LC): Medium - animation, Multiframe incremental, HSph: 50, Interp: 40, Every 5th frame.......Save IRR

Render out entire animation in sequence.

    Thanks for the help.

    Could be a geometry issue.
Personally I would use "Incremental add" rather than "Multiframe"

I rendered the animation out using Irradiance Map and Brute Force and it worked just fine. It must be an issue with the Light Cache then.
