  • Increasing resolution and maintaining rendertime

As the title would suggest. I have a render at 2K. I'm using 2-4 DMC AA with .005 noise threshold with global subdiv of 16 and min samples of 16.

I want to render the same image at 4K or even 6K. How would I go about keeping the same rendertimes?

Would doubling the noise threshold to .01 at 4K res maintain the rendertime?

    No, that wont do it.

What GI solution do you use, and what adaptive amount you got?

adaptive amount is default at .85
gi is lightcache set to 2000 for primary and secondary with AO ( I know its cheating but its fast )

I don't think it's possible to calculate the exact rendersettings since you used an adaptive method.
