Index of refraction

Hi,

I'm busy discovering the powers of the VRay material and I'm wondering if the Index of refraction in the refraction section also affects the amount of Fresnel reflection?

IOR affects the amount of Fresnel Reflection - ok, but how?
anyone knows?

I would imagine the same way that it would in a Falloff map set to Fresnel.
