  • global sudivs multiplier theory

    Let's say that I've a material with the default 8 subdivs, I know that value has to be squared, fine! If I type in a global multiplier of 2, how many real subdivs do I have?

    8x8=64x2=128 or 8x2=16x16=256 ?

    Now, the same question about the irradiance map hsph sudivs, when the global multiplier is applied? after or before squaring the value?

    Thanks in advance

    I think all values are multiplied by "global subdivisions multiplier" before squaring it.
