    When you guys use a bitmap do you turn off the blur and filtering in the map and let vray deal with it?

    For close-ups I would, but not for distant elements. your render times will increase, too. (.01 and turn off filter)

      I leave filtering on and set it to 0.2. Only in the smallest patterns does it pick up moire when set this way. With animation, you probably want to keep it at 0.6 or so otherwise you can get crawling/noise when the texture detail is smaller than the subdivided level of your image filter.

        I always turn off filtering because I hate blurry maps, like in computer games.
        But it eats rendering time for sure.
