So I'm just doing some tests, a few 'product' rendering ones, and I've animated the objects and camera. Thought I'd do one of those ones where the product is floating, so no contact shadows with the ground/walls.
I'm currently using an vray dome light with an HDR plugged into it, and a couple of specular/reflection - glint lights to bring out some extra edges and surface high lights. (pretty straight forwards stuff)
In my typical test rendering I'm just using IM & LC, although I know I could turn it off and let vray work with the dome light (although it seems to be slow some times?).
Any thoughts on how I should try rendering this test out ?
Should I just turn off indirect illumination, or should I use it and do a typical pre-pass mode as outlined here:

(I know it generally comes down to time vs quality)
After a bit of testing this evening, the dome light and HDR seem to work very nicely indeed !
I just had to re-adjust my sampling and samples from the dome.
