    This is an interesting test video, I wonder how this was created
    since VRayDistanceTex doesn't "fill up" spaces:

    So where did you find the description?

    Edit: nevermind, figured it out.. kind of. Essentially two Objects affecting each others distancetex. But a copy of one object is needed to prevent a circular reference, right?

      Yes, but this only works correctly with simple geometry since VRayDistanceTex doesn't iterate...

        ive used the rendertime boolean trick on some pretty damn complex geometry.. id say it works on much more complex meshes than a standard boolean/ in fact i cant see how mesh detail would influence it?

          looks great that trick

          could somebody explane me how you actualy use that feature/technique ?
          I need something like that on a project for the moment
