I've got a clear understanding of LWF. I have a Max 2011 scene where all my render settings, Max settings, and materials/textures have been set with the correct gamma values and various LWF related options. The only thing I'm not sure of is the gradient ramps I create inside of Max to apply to the texture slot of my VRayLights. I have a V-Ray Light set to Dome (spherical) that is using a Max Gradient Ramp. When I drag the texture into my material editor to view, it looks like it should be bright, but when I render it appears dull to me. Is it because this map needs a .454 gamma applied? If so, I don't see where I can do that either in the light settings or the Gradient Ramp material settings.

Are Gradient Ramp maps applied to the texture slot of VRayLights gamma correct 4 LWF?

You can always pipe the gradient through a ColorCorrection texture to change the gamma. Other than that, whether it should be gamma-corrected or not depends on whether you need the gradient to be linear in physical sense, or in visual sense.
