  • Does vray respect clipping planes in maya?

Hey guys am trying to render a box that has glossy refractions, my camera angle is str8 on the box in a front view perspective, i have to render a sequence of 150 frames because of some small debris moving inside the box, but i don't wanna have to render the refractive box 150 times since it doesn't move and is expensive, am trying to use clipping planes to split the box down the center, but for some reason i cant get vray to render it correctly. Any one try to use clipping planes to achieve something like this before?

Maybe you could use "Region Render" instead?

V-Ray supports clipping planes; you must turn off the camera "auto clipping planes" option.
