this lighting effect?

I tried.. tried and m still trying but just not getting it right.. have tried making map in photoshop n used as projection map, have tried using various combination of ies lights etc etc but nothing working even close to this.. any idea how to get this particular light trow over ceiling? Thanks!

Fake it with a spotlight that effects only the ceiling or use caustics. It seems that caustics can be pretty fast if you don't use them with a vray light too - I think Bertrand Benoit or Peter guthrie did a post on it?

hey thanks! i tried but somehow i am still not happy with the effect ( see attached ).. anyways client accepted images so no problem now cheers!
