  • IM anim prepass and IM interp samples... precision ?

    Hello,
i'm sure it have been discussed somewhere but i couldn't find it.

When using Irrmap in Animation(rendering) mode (IM blending), should i reduce the interp samples for final pass render ?
and, if yes, in wich proprotion ? For example, if interp.frames is 2, wich means that for each frame, 5 IM maps will be blended, should i divide interp samples value by 5 ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards,
    Jérôme Prévost.

You should reduce it as much as possible while still getting an acceptable result. If you blend 5 maps, then dividing by 5 might work, but it may give you more splotchy results (but then again, it may be fine).

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      thank you Vlado !

I'll update my SolidRocks MOA (Moving Objects Animation) wizard according to your answer to speedup things,
at least let the user have choice on it.

      Thanks again !
