Hi Richard,
Great job The construction and explanation of your Cornell box is very interesting. I'm just wondering was it for fun and the experience or will it end up becoming a tool for your renderings? I could see it being something like a common ground for testing how an object looks in the physical model and then you could perform renderings to match materials in a virtual Cornell box. Is this what you plan to do with it?
No, I can't see any production use coming out of this. It was merely an experiment for my own learning experience to see just how close I could get to the computer generated version, and how different the light would behave in a real-world situation. Obviously, it came quite close.
I mean this study will be very interesting for many many people to understand and to try to get or replicate the real light distribution (or to go near of the real intensity, ditribution, and shadows density)
It is more interesting I think for the people like VLADO who realize engine render ( obviousely never good as his and PETER product noone exist like them )
Congratulations and thank u very much for your work richard
