  • Adopting linear work flow

    Hi folks
Is it necessary to adopt a linear work flow when producing TV production animation?

If you want your renders to look realistic - yes.

Well honestly whatever look good in the end is what matters, but if u want a whole lot of color gamma range then best bet would be linear workflow.

It is important to differntiante between a linear workflow in compositing and one in rendering. The above is true for compositing. The issue with rendering has to do with the math, if you are not using a linear workflow the math of the lights and materials are incorrect.
