  • Rendering for Oculus Rift

Wondering if anyone has any experience with trying this out. Just got my hands on a Rift 1.0 kit from a friend, and am feeling compelled to try rendering some stereo sequences to check out with it...just not sure what focal length I should be using, and what lens distortion should be applied via VRayPhysCam.

    Cheers.

    Bam, http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...ereo-panoramas
also, check out VR Player (http://vrplayer.codeplex.com/) for viewing images, which will apply the focal length, distortion, & head tracking needed

With the onset of positional tracking in the DK2 and onward, I've personally been exploring game engines as the means of viewing 3d scenes. At some point v-ray, v-ray rt, & game engines will merge...

but I wouldn't mind if chaos group tweaked their stereo helper to work with stereo panoramas
