  • Render slave behaving badly!

    Got a render slave that is rendering it's buckets.

    Slave has latest vray version installed as does all other machines
    Both are windows 7 pro 64 bit
    All maps, paths etc refer to the server that all other machines refer to.

    I have noticed that it is on a couple of materials that the buckets render darker but ONLY where that material is in shadow.

    Anyone had this and glitch before. I'm sure it's something simple but, been looking at it so long it's a case of forest for the trees!!

    Thanks.

    I think I may have just solved it. Typical, I spent hours looking at it and as soon as I post a thread, I tried something different and solved it. For those who this hasn't happened to yet see below;

    I have a standard sun light in my scene and a vraysun sun linked to it.
    When I input different times of the day, the vraysun goes to the correct location.
    My normal setup is to turn off the standard sun and only turn on the vraysun.

    In this instance the standard sun had also been turned on accidentally AND THAT WAS THE LITTLE 'TRIBBLE' CAUSING ALL THE TROUBLE!!!! Grrrrhhhh.

    The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few
