Just wondering why the direct light is visible in reflections while calculating an irradiance map? Not that it is any problem. just curious.

Probably you have enabled Store with Irr. map for some of the light sources in the scene or Show direct light in the GI settings.

Thanks for the speedy answer! I don't have show direct light active, so it is probably the Store with Irr. map option that is active for the Vray Sun. I will let this rendering run it's course then have a look. Thanks!
