  • VRayStochasticFlakesMtl approach

Started using the VRayStochasticFlakesMtl yesterday and it is super nice! Fast and easy to dial in. But I'm a little confused about how to use it correctly. For example, if I want to sprinkle a little bit of glitter onto garment or paper my approach would be to have a paper/cloth base shader in a blendMat and put some sparse flakes as the coat material. But when the flakes are far apart it introduces a black space between them and then I have two options, make the blendMat additive or put the blend amount way down to not darken the base material.
Is there any other better way to achieve this?
Anyway I think the (new) flakes material looks fantastik! I'm doing a christmas commercial so it's going to be used a lot

This is what I've done with it so far.
