Lightning with vRay please help

Hello. I have some questions about principles of lightning.
Can someone explain me what lights I need to use for interior scenes? And what for exterior.
I've enable skylight in render dialog, put one vRay light on ceiling and the results aren't so good like here on forum.
Please help.

A quick light setup through 2 windows, and getting the light to bounce round the room for a nice light solution .
