  • Vray for Frame Buffer History Freezing and Error

    Hi, everyone...

Hope someone can help me on this issue.
I'm running 3ds max 2016 with vray 3.60.03. Suddenly, I started to experience an error with framebuffer history.
I can't access the history on the left side panel. When I click on icon history "H" in VFB my 3ds max displays error and 3ds max stops responding.
Reinstalled Vray lates version, unfortunately, the problem exists.

    Thanks in advance.

It was the history overloaded. Sorry, I'm not in front of my PC - there is a limit set for the history so when it goes beyond this set limit, History panel/VFB crashes. Click on the little hamburger icon right above the history panel and increase the numbers. But the best option is, keep those numbers as it is, simply, back up your history folder (if needed for future reference) delete the history files. Restart the 3ds Max you should be fine.

            Hi Vlado,

Sounds good. Just some thoughts to share: Would it be practical to create a "VFB_History" folder during the Max project folder creation?

What happens in the current setting is, the history files save even without assigning a History save folder.
