  • Vray Next gpu, how to remove fireflies from EnvironmentFog ?

I'm testing Vray Next v4.04.02 and environment fog is creating a lot of fireflies. Fog height is 1.5m.
I have only one light source, hdri image in adaptive dome light, intensity 50. Render is gpu brute force/light cache.
When I disable GI, fireflies are gone.

Are you using the Next standalone? Are you using the latest Blender nightly build? I'm just curious if the upgrade is straightforward to use Next or if you had to do something special.

Sorry I don't have an answer for the fireflies. It does look like problems I ran into some time ago when using progressive and fog - it doesn't resolve for a long time. My solution was to use bucket, but that doesn't help if you're trying to fix the GPU render.

Yes latest V-Ray Next standalone and latest Blender nightly build. Gpu fog is fast and adaptive dome also. I noticed also that lowering noise threshold didnt fix fireflies. And yes, I like gpu renders more than cpu.
I did a bit tests of Vray Next here: https://blenderartists.org/t/v-ray-n...rmance/1121246
I saw Cycles tests and why not try to use the same scene, I think its Corona scene.
