  • Revit -> Sketchup - best workflow

    Hi

    I just wonder if there is any tips for a good workflow, gettings Revit models into Sketchup / vray?

    Right now I
    - export fomr Revit info dwg files with diferent categories like walls.dwg, windows.dwg etc.
    - import into the dwgs into Sketchup
    - use a plugin called groupByLayer.rb by rick wilson (really old plugin) to get some control over the materials

    Some times the plugin hang, or just take a long long time to complete.

    Does anyone have a good workflow they will share?

    Thanks
    Jorgensen

    Hi,

    If you want to use the Revit 3d model only for visualization inside SketchUp, then you could export the model as vrscene from Revit and import it using Vrscene importer in V-ray Next (from Sketchup import menu), also you could use rvt2skp PRO.
