  • Vray Light Lister - Support for longer names

I hope it's ok to post this here.
Manny times I found myself having trouble with the vray light lister because it showed only the first part of the name of the light.
I have modified the script so that the name field is now 100px longer.
If you believe this could be useful for you feel free to download the script.
Just replace the file vraylightlister.ms in "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2019\scripts\Startup"

The modified script should work without problems but just in case make a backup before you replace it.

Hello jackieteh and sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure if it works but you could make a backup and try to use it. The only alteration I made to the script was layout wise so I have a hunch that it would work but please make a backup of the original file before you use it.

just rename the original file "vraylightlister.ms" to something like "vraylightlister.ms.back" and copy the modified file. If you encounter any problems, just delete the modified script and revert back the name of the file from "vraylightlister.ms.back" to "vraylightlister.ms"

Could Chaos 'implement' this. I don't want to change the script everytime I need an update or whatnot. And maybe at the same time boost the speed of loading of this list, I have seen other scripts that load these kind of things way faster. Gracias.
