  • Lens effects and 360 degree panorama

How to avoid such unpleasant effects as in the screenshot in the area to the left of the solar disk on the water?
It is clear that in this case, you can twist the angle to the reflection of the sun was not on the edge. But what if such problem areas are not one, but many and all to distribute does not work?

I think there is an option in the sun settings, affect reflection..

This behavior is typical for any light source.
In a good way, the effects of the lens should work at least cylindrical to avoid such errors in the panoramas.

We already have a solution for this in our nightly builds and it will be in one of the next V-Ray updates.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

            Hello, Aleksey,
The nightly builds Vlado referred to are V-Ray for 3ds max builds.
The solution will make its way as part of a V-Ray core update in one of the upcoming V-Ray for SketchUp releases.

            Kind regards,
            Peter
