  • Fur material is crossing my model. How to solve it?

Hi! How to avoid fur material crossing model? Here is an example. See the grass is going through the object. Didn't find an option to solve it. Any ideas?

This is currently not achievable easily. The current options are:
    1. Split the areas below each object from the grass plane, then make sure the same material is applied on each resulting surface but VRayFur remains applied only on the non-occluded one.
    2. Manually paint a monochrome texture corresponding to the VRayFur distribution you want to achieve. Black areas would correspond to no strands and white to 100% of the distribution value.

I've logged a feature request based on your forum post. We have a solution involving the implementation of TexDistance which should make all this achievable with just a few clicks. Hope to have it in the next official update or the one after.

    Kind regards,
