  • vray/backburner image quality problem

When we network render with vray there are machines producing slightly different shaded images. The strange thing is that exactly the same type of machines might render different images while totally different machines might render identical image qualities.

Does anybody know possible reasons for that?

    Ron,
are all of your render nodes running the same version of vray and max?

Which vray version? Would it be possible to show the different images?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

          Hi Vlado,

i have to finish that job first. Tomorrow i will go into that problem in depth, its really annoying to feel such kind of insecure with the network rendering. I will provide a small scene and the different images. The recent scene is way too big.

But one thing is remarkable. The images seem to have slightly different gamma or brightness values but that is not random. There are always just the same two stages: Darker and brighter.

          The vray version is 1461570.

It sounds like some nodes have gamma correction on (in preferences) while some do not. Either that or all nodes have gamma correction on but with different values.
