  • some 'vray basic' tutorials

    Hi,

I made some tutorials about basic stuff in vray.

They are a mix of explaining settings in a simple way and tips from personal experience using vray.

There's one about vray render settings, one about material settings and one about hdri in vray. Altough the vray help files are great and cover every aspect of vray, it seems that people don't always understand them, or simply don't read them, that's why I created these.

Here's the link to the main page:

    Comments & feedback always welcome!

    kind regards,

    wouter

Thanks Wouter, it's cool to you to share this.
I think that you say many things that are not explain in vray help like global explaination on the GI process and other.
    They are simple but efficient!
    A short way to setup.
Cool to see your approach, thanks again.
    Regards

        Thanks

I've made a mistake on page 2 of the materials tutorial, step 27

I updated it now, for those who might have read it already. The whole step is rewritten.

        Kind regards,

        wouter

Thank you so much for these! I've been playing around with HDRI images with VRay for awhile and could never really figure out how to get shadows with them. I'm still pretty new to VRay and your tuts have been easy to follow and extremely informative. Thanks again.

Great Tuts! Well done. As tom182 said the more Vray Tuts the better! That goes for documentation too.

Thanks Flipside for your hard work!
