Problem to add video map to material

Dear all, I tried to add video to make animated screen at Chaos vantage but it turns into black, any solution for this issue ?

What DCC are you using?
With 3dsMax you would need the video to be converted to an image sequence, which you can then load.
You can use an .avi file but that's not great, as the file size with avis is an issue.
It's likely to be similar with other software.

Ah ok, then no, it's not possible to use either an avi or an image sequence at the moment.
Maybe they'll add support for it in another release.

I had a project recently which called for hundreds of video sequences to be used, so I simply did those as matted planes and composited them.
This is simple to do and can often be much much quicker, as you can use Max's (or whatever) scanline renderer for the screens, as they are mainly
just self illuminated panels, which need no GI and which with scanline are super-quick to render.
