  • removing double / coplanar surfaces

    Hi all!

    does someony know a Script to remove double / coplanar surfaces?

    would be very handy to clean up meshes..

    hey dude,
    If your after a quick fix you can adjust the secondary ray bias to 0.1.
    There is a script somewhere that removes them. Try scriptspot.

      the stl modifier offers that function. but don't know how useable it is.

          and if all else fails you can use the secret method. its called "doing it the hard way" shhhh dont tell anyone hehehhe let us know how the scripts work. also wondering if there is a normal script that works well since most of the koler stuff i got on that cd from them have really really really bad models

            Bobo's script works great. Unfortunatelly it doesn't have a treshold controler to evaluate the proximity of vertexes so it removes only faces which share exactly the same vertexes. Still, it's one of my favourite scripts. One peace of advice. If you have an extremely large mesh (like 200 000 faces) split it in smaller parts and than join it back togather.
