    Dynedain,

I think the FormZ modeler is 20x better for Arch Viz modeling. What about exports out of Autocad?

Am I screwed in both cases? Any other options?

The Subdivide modifier works pretty well for a very quick way to make screwy displacements work better. It will produce a close approximation of evenly spaced tri mesh. Usually you have to adjust the default size smaller to get your desired results. But it is a way to handle a messy object in a matter of seconds. It will still not be as clean (in some cases) as Morbids method, however many times this will either resolve the issues, or reduce them to points that are almost unnoticable.

I seem to have a good method of creating geometry for displacement but, can't get the curved areas to work on a consistent basis - does anyone have any suggestions ?

          Hi Dmitry!

Could you please repost it the image and the sample file? I would like to show it to mine modelers.

          Thanks in advanced!
