  • the real inox material???

anyone know the '' How to do a inox material '' in vray. with all the good settings.

we cant acheive it here. settings about inox are real weird. The reflection of this metal looks different from everything else.

thanks if you have some clue.

from what Ive found it looks close to a coarse brushed stainless steel material. there was a stainless example posed the other day I think in the General forum that you could use as a start and just add a brushed map to the bump and that should work... there are a couple brushed maps in the architectural maps that come with max8.

i'd say anisotropic glossys and a decent brushed metal bumpmap. For the colour variation i'd say falloffs should do the trick. There might be some (well or maybe a shitload :P ) of tweaking involved to et it just right. Plus it's most likely model dependant.
