      One thing I think is worth mentioning, vector motion blur is, by itself, not the cause for loosing intensity. The clamping of the colors is pretty much the sole cause. There is at least one 3d renderer (for max) that will correctly 2dBlur over bright objects. 3d motion blur will run into the same problem of loosing intensity if it is applied using clamped colors. MR is a good example of this for 3d blur, if you use only 16bit Integers, you get faded blurs, but when you use the 32 bit floats, you get the correct blur. Also, Brazil is a good example for 2dVector blurs. If you tell it to not clamp the colors before it applies the 2d blur, it works as expected.

        Yeah you're right charley - It's one of the redeeming features of the brazil motion blur and a very clever trick by the programmers - it's a shame that Autodesk haven't included it in the render effect version.

        Glad to share - I've learned a tonne and continue to learn from other folks putting stuff out there so it's good to give some back every now and then.
