Can someone show me how to make a good carpet

Hi,

I've tried to make a displacement carpet but it does not look like a real one. How can i get it looking good, any hints?

if its for a house type of carpet, add a noise to your diffuse(instead of one solid color) this will simulate the knap adding a little extra realism.

I made this with a noise 3d displacement, and a material that in the diffuse color has a noise that is the main shade of the carpet and the knap shade.

Simple, but effective IMO.
