Red dots, red spots, green spots

Trying to make a single post of some of the common causes of the
red spots, dots and blots.

Help me out here, really a terror for us right now.

1. Co-planar faces
2. Ward shader
3. Angular HDRI
4. Sub-objects selected within objects
5. uncheck max shadecontext

Bear in mind this is not all the posts and some of them are rather old
just trying to make finding a little easier.

There is the "sun" glitter but NOT associated with the "red spot" issue.

I seem to remember getting colored splotches when I used to use RPC's. That was max 7 and vray 1.47....I don't use RPC's anymore.

yes make sure all rpc's vray properties are set to emit and receive no GI.
