Has anyone had experience making a hdri of set with a bluescreen in the background? I need to match lighting of actors which are being shot infront of the bluescreen. Would I simply key out the blue of the reflective probe? Any tips or links would be great.

If I understand your situation correctly, you shouldn't worry about the blue. Whoever is color-correcting the footage of the actors to compensate for the presence of a bluescreen should be able to run the same process on the elements that you render with the HDRI.
Though if you have glossy reflections I can see that there might be some problems...- Geoff

it sounds more like he is going to shoot an HDR of the scene without the actors in it and use the image as lighting. In that case you would think you would definitely want to take the blue out of the HDR. Otherwise it might cast blue light into the scene. Maybe try and average it with the rest of the scene...

is that not going to be counter productive? I mean I presume if you're shooting on bluescreen you're probably going to want to replace that bluescreen with something else at some point so surely you really don't want the effects of the blue lighting, it's just acting as a handy way of separating the actor from their background - draw a lighting diagram of the set instead and ask the lighter the wattage of each light - you can set up the direction of the lights form your diagram and if you find out the ratio of one light to the next you can balance them out in a similar fashion - you don't want all of your cg stuff to have a really obvious blue light to them do you?
