  • Tip: MAX-compat ShadeContext + camera distance gradient

The two are mutually exclusive. If you want to use a Falloff gradient to control a texture by its distance to the camera, leave this on. I spent a great deal of time working out that this was the problem

BTW do you know how to control density of VrayFur by Faloff map set to distance blend? Is it possible?

I'd use the Object mode and specify the camera as the node from which the distance is measured.

        This is not working
When I apply checker map or bitmap image - its working fine.
But with falloff map I have no sucess. Any idea?

        PS. Sorry for my English

Hm, I remember trying this before and it worked fine... will make a quick test.

Looks like it will work only for textures with UVW mapping; I've made a note to correct this for newer builds though.
