  • Lots of nonsense on how depth of field works

    Heya Folks,

I'd mentioned I was writing a post on how depth of field / camera exposure works and here's the first version of it. I might tweak some graphics or reword a few things if folks find them to be confusing but here you go anyway. The path might change to this some stage soon but I'll keep any revisions noted here.

always a pleasure to take the time and read one of your articles. it's a shame it doesn't happen more often. speaking of which, where have the old ones gone? would be great to see them collected in the same place. or maybe they are and I can't find them?

Thanks for the kind words - I'll definitely be doing a good few, I want to try a few video ones as well, they seem to be a better way of explaining things!

That'll come in handy alright - I must sit down some stage soon and figure out how to use real world bulb values so that you can do a quick match with a photo. Lots of handy info in there!
