  • saturation controll

I dont if this way has been posted yet.
This all about how to reduce color saturation in indoor/outdoor scenes, where the most of lights coming from the firts bounce, this case from the floor/ground/wall or whatever, which is very colorfull...

there is great free plug Color Corrector http://cuneytozdas.com/software/
So before irradiance map calculations just reduce the ground texture saturation, and when u reuse the imap, set it back. I believe it can be also scripted, so talented scripters please.....
Its easier I think compared to hide/unhide or work with two textures and so on.
    Hope this helps some.

vrayfree users, have to render two times. first with the desaturated one, then with the saturated one (at least until the floore is visible), and then also need an alpha map where the ground/floor doesnt exits(this can be done even in sacnline - so its takes two seconds) and then composite them together in photoshop (invert alpha). It doesnt take to much plus work(but time), but for the final work is very usefull I belive is some cases.
