That's a good idea, not all bugs caused that the user waste hours to find it and workaround.
Other companies I know try to fix reported bugs within a few days, for example if I found a bug in the AIR engine, it was fixed after a short time frame. The same experience with Unfold3D.
An other way to handle is a bug forum, there bug can be found and get the label fixed at the end:

That you add a bug list to the release notes, that's good. Since the SR are released not every few weeks, the list is not up-to-date allways. Could be nice if the VfR bug forum could get a serious function for communication. A list of bugs, that should be known by the user would be great.
You are right, not so many companies let the user know, what bugs are reported. This maybe good for the companies, but not for the user.
I think, if a software is sold as a final release bugs should be fixed very fast. I understand, if beta versions contain bugs over some months.
