Its just a gui for the vrimage converter. If you don't like dealing with command lines, then it might help, but it doesn't add any functionality. The easiest thing to do is when you click on a VRimage, windows will ask you what application you want to open it with. Point it to the vrimg converter and select always use this application (or something to that effect), and you probably won't have to touch it.

sorry for bumping up an old thread...

i have a question why, this method didnt work out for 1.48.96 version?

i used vrimg output but it render with full resolution in vfb not like the previous version where it render in preview (smaller resolution)..
so am I doing it wrong in vray 1.48.96. or there is another way to avoid crashes i want to render in high resolution?

use the exr format rather than the vrimg format. There's an issue with the vrimg to exr converter, which doesn't work well with the current version of the vrimg format. Btw, you are using an outdated version of our plugin, you can find the latest version here: http://software.asgvis.com/index.php...=253&Itemid=53

has the vrimg2exr program been updated to handle vrimages from 1.49.01 -- or is it a compatibility issue in 1.49.01 that needs to be fixed in order for the current vrimg2exr program to work? 'twould be nice to have the extra channel info in raw format...
