  • integrate 3d with normal foto

    Hello all

Micha you are the foto-real expert can you help me to integrate some image with my 3d?

The problem is that the foto is not equirectangular or HDRI, it's just a plain image.

Can you post some times or a 3d file with one example?

Here is a starting point, how to correctelly alight this and put some 3d on top of the table.

    Thanks
    Sergio

Best you set your photo as Rhino viewport background, so that you can allign the 3D object to the photo per viewport manipulation. Later render the image with the same ratio like the viewport and anything should match. Best you try to use the lens length from the photo for the viewport.

Ground/Background: at my render tool collection you will find a tool from David Rutton that project a photo through the camera to a mesh. So, only you need to create a soft studio ground for your object, convert the ground to a mesh and use the camera projection tool. The soft ground should cover the viewport view. If you set the photo as texture for the ground, you should see at the rendered viewport anything matching. If you start a rendering now, the lighting/shadows of your environment are rendered to the photoground. If the lighting dosn't match you could use a HDRI that looks like the environment of the photo or you add some rhino light.

    Good luck.
