Hi i'm a newbie and would like to know how to render with HDRI maps. Could someone provide me with a template(some settings like where to place the hdri file, where to input the intensity) so that i can modify from there? Thank you.

Re: How to render using HDRI maps?
If you want to use the HDRI to illuminate your scene, place the HDRI under "Environment" tab on GI Color. If you want to use the HRDI for the Background, you should put the HDRI on the BG Color.
Also you can override the reflection and or the refraction with an HDRI. To do this just enable the "Reflection and or the "Refraction" option on the "Environment" tab.
How to use the HDRI
1. Click on the "M" near GI Color
2. Select "TexBitmap" as your texture mapping type
3. Change your UVW Type to "UVWGenEnvironment"
4. Load the HDRI file
5. Select the type of the HDRI. In V-Ray you can use 4 different types (Spherical, Mirror ball, Angular and Cubic)
6. Increase the GI Color multiplier to your desired intensity. If you are using the Physical Camera this value should be very high. I guess 75 or even more.
Please see the attached images

Re: How to render using HDRI maps?
Cannot adjust the size of and HDRI Bg image....unfortunately.
Best way to create the background is to post process in Photoshop.
As far as why we cannot adjust the HDRI yet, i dont know. Photoshop offers more freedom and fine tuning anyway. Hope this helps :-X

Re: How to render using HDRI maps?
Hi guys,
I am using HDRI for the first time for both background and image based lighting.
I have issue with the perspective. My model seems to be floating and not matching the perspective of the hdri image.
How do i fix it?
Thank you.
