Re: Can i set secondary bounce quality from a button?
-visLoadVisopt is the command to load a visopt. Just give it a path, and it should load the given visopt. So you'd just need to save out 2 visopts, one with the preview settings, one with the final render settings, then use the -visLoadVisopt command to load either one.
Re: Can i set secondary bounce quality from a button?
I am so stupid I forgot to add the most crucial point...
I have this now as visopts attached to a button... but sometimes I play around with other hdri environments, and then when I need to change GI settings I need to do that manually, because if I hit one of those predifined scripted buttons, I get the old HDRi back that I saved with the visopt in the first place.
So I was wondering if I could only change the GI setting with script? and not interfere with environment maps
