Since I discovered how displacement can be speeded up for exterior scenes

I'm in displacement fever.
For example billboards can be a little bit enhanced by a light additional thickness. Only an inverted and bluried transparnecy map is for displacement needed.
Also good for displacement is to set an object custom mesh - disable simple planes and set 16 initial grid quads. So I try to be sure that enough polygons for displacement are available.
My example image is a little part from a very big image. It's a first attempt for this method.
