  • 12 pictures identifying real effects

    Hi guys.

My second server (the one I'm hosting the rest of the pictures) is down.

I've contacted the admins and they do not have prevision to bring back the webservice. To bad!

So I'm asking here if some one could host those files temporary. With this mirror I can put all images here directly in this post.

    Thanks.

            They are pictures for reference.

I think one of the problems people have with creating CG artwork is to not know how things are in real life, for exemple the Fresnel Effect. Isn't enoutgh just say what is Fresnel Effect, you have to see for your self

In my opinion is a must know. Like: if you dont know how is the shape of a flower, how can you want to draw it. Same thing for modeling a real human face, people know what max tools does (editable poly), but even knowing this isnt enought, your model going to be bad. You have to study the topology of a human face, than you will know what you have to model.

I'm starting this king of studies to help my computer generated stuffs. In the case of those pictures, to learn how are effect like fresnel, shadows, refractions, etc really in real world.

*Sorry for any English mistakes, doing my best.
