making already placed object instance?

I was just wondering if there is any way to make instance to the lights already placed in scene.. I got a revit file from client with lots of photometric lights with same properties, on importing them in max they r not instance to each other.. if by any ways i can instance them will save my day,..?

The Soulburn scripts pack by Neil Blevins has an object replacer script. You could possibly use this to replace the photometric lights with an instanced Vray light.
