Hi,
today I tested my current project at 1.5 (I use 1.05 for regular use) and found, that the interpolation of reflection/refraction material layer is a great speed turbo, if very blurry materials are needed like frozen glass, anodized aluminum or soft leather reflection. At areas, where the buckets was hanging, they run now and the rendertime is cut down to approx. 25%. At very blurry materials the lost of quality is nearly invisible. I'm not sure, it maybe working for stills only, but it's an impressive result and can save some hours at my current high res interiors. I hope some critical bugs of 1.5 are ironed out soon and the beta feeling is gone.
