                      Thanks for this. Did you turn down the "Global Lighting" Tinting parameter just so things would look better in the viewport? Why did you bother tweaking the Clr thresh and Nrm thresh values, when the Medium Irradience Map Preset overrides those settings?

                        yeah that was a mistake because i was going to render it with my own setting then i changed my mind during the vid ... Panicked a bit..lolol :P

                        yeah and the global lighting is a good way to override the view port brightness .... a good little trick.

                          May I ask you why did you change face/level coef. under Vray system rollout? Does it make any difference?

                            it seems that the default (2) is too high, so lowering it, it would make things fast but use more memory.........at least that's how I understand it.
