      SURE

it is JUST the texture material and its bumpmap.

      I changed nothing.

      PLAIN VRAY Material

      I hope this helps

First you should use the Ward shader for metal. Then you could use two grayscale maps to vary the reflect and glossy channels.

Glossy and Spec would kill our Rendertime

          Hi thx for ur reply,

isnt there a nice fake chance?

for example we have an other problem to get a steam pipe more organic. Minerals, corrusion and so on....

BUT IT NEEDS TO LOOK a bit WET...

Im not in Materials so a more detailed explanation would be SUPER!!

here's some good Niel Blevis tutes about metals......

            http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_educat...l_and_refs.htm

            and wet materials....

            http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_educat..._materials.htm

hope they help...at least as primers....

            paul.

            PS:
as for the grayscale map in the reflect chanell.....it will allow the metal material different reflecting strainght based on the grey map that you put in the reflection chanell of the metal mat......that way you'll have different reflection level through out the metal material......based on the greyscale map in the reflection chanell....so for example you could put the "Refmap.gif" map (a default greyscale map that comes w/ max) into the ref;lection chanell of your metal mat.
