  • test of interior pre-sets

Here are a series of renders using the interior pre-sets in 2.00.2 for comparison using a recent interior view of mine.
There are no lights in the scene, just the vray sun from the window (and velux rooflights), and some blurry reflective materials.

    The render times were:

    01 test qual 4min 45sec
    02 low qual 5min 47sec
    03 med qual 7min 45sec
    04 high qual 14min 24sec
    05 v.high qual 26min 35sec

For me, the medium quality gives good results when balanced against render times (I'm very impatient!)

. . . and just to round it off, here is a render using the 'universal setting' from the Chaos help site. (given the render time, I suspect that these settings are very much now redundant)
This one took 2hrs 45 mins to render, and I can't see the difference between this and the 'v.high' pre-set - so no contest!
