Hello everyone!
I bought the stand alone version a while back and managed to install some older version in OS X with the help of Sebastians install video.
But i still have no clue what versions i actually can use, i tried some newer version but that didn't work so i ended up using the same version Sebastian used in his video which feels like a few years old... or maybe it still is the most recent available?
It would be great to have some info page on what versions works and how to install them correctly.
Also tutorials on how to set up and use V-Ray in Blender, indoor, outdoor, HDRI lighting, particles, hair and all those goodies i now know almost nothing about.
A short video on how to make a few nice materials and set up lights in a scene (in Blender) would do a lot.
Most V-Ray info and tutorials on the net is pretty old and mostly for 3DSmax which is quite hard to follow in Blender when you're a beginner.
Seeing how things are done and the benefit/result of using V-Ray in Blender would likely attract more users.
Btw... what stands in the way for Blender to natively support the V-Ray exporter as an addon?
Seems a shame that Andrey has to build new versions each time Blender updates.
Thanks for making V-Ray possible in Blender!
